Pursuing an SAP certification can be an effective way to certifiably demonstrate your expertise with the ERP systems, and if you do not have an SAP certification, still being able to identify and navigate ERP systems and other big picture items of the SAP world can still set you apart as an SAP consultant.

I leverage ERP systems as an SAP consultant to optimize a client’s operational processes and encourage more efficient management, helping companies adapt more effectively to market changes. I have earned a certificate in SAP S/4HANA specifically and have expertise in customizing this solution for each client.” 

 

3. What experience do you have with different SAP solutions and services? 

To stand out as an experienced SAP consultant, you should be familiar with the different SAP solutions and bring a variety of technical skills to the interview table. Be prepared to discuss your knowledge and work with in-demand SAP solutions, such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Demonstrating your technical knowledge of these different platforms – especially those that are niche – will show you have the experience to be a well-rounded, valuable SAP consultant.

4. Could you provide an example of how you’ve contributed positively to the culture of a previous workplace?

5. How do you evaluate the needs of your client to ensure a smooth, accurate SAP transition? 

Recruiters need to know how you handle client interactions in the role of SAP consultant. Not only does this show technical knowledge of how you adapt solutions for individual client needs, but it also can showcase your communication and team-management skills. Expert consultants will understand that each client has different needs based on their size, industry, and other differing factors. By also prioritizing soft skills in your interview, recruiters will get a sense of how you would represent the company if you were to take on the position.
