Building Internal NetSuite Expertise for a Global Micromobility Leader
- January 26, 2026
In this case study, explore how our client built internal NetSuite expertise with support from BCTG to further improve operational efficiency.
A global leader in shared micromobility, this San Francisco–based company operates a fleet of electric scooters and e-bikes across more than 250 cities in over 30 countries. Founded in 2017, the organization focuses on providing sustainable, app-based urban transport for short trips and last-mile connectivity.
After achieving several consecutive years of growth and recently reaching profitability, the company sought to further improve operational efficiency by optimizing its financial systems. To support its expanding presence in North America and Europe, the client implemented NetSuite as its core ERP platform and began shifting toward greater internal ownership of system management and development with support from BCTG.
BCTG assembled a team of NetSuite specialists with deep expertise across Finance and Supply Chain to help the client scale and optimize its ERP environment. The team included a NetSuite Finance Architect, NetSuite Finance Developer, and NetSuite Supply Chain Developer, focused on process automation, system customization and configuration, object-oriented programming, and integration with COUPA. The engagement initially spanned a five-month contract period, but due to the success and evolving project needs, our resources were extended to six months and beyond.
Finding resources that could dedicate themselves to a single client while bringing both accounting knowledge and startup/modern-tech experience presented a challenge, but our team successfully matched these requirements, enabling the client to maximize NetSuite’s capabilities and build internal NetSuite expertise for long-term growth.
