Limited budgets and lean teams coupled with rising demands from the communities they serve require constant creativity and efficiency. AI is becoming a powerful tool for non-profits, helping them stretch limited resources and maximize impact.

Earlier this year, BCTG’s Kyle Montgomery sat down with AI consultant Brian Stitt to discuss the impact of AI for non-profit organizations (NPOs).

 

UNDERSTANDING THE USE OF AI FOR NPOS

AI won’t replace the heart of nonprofit work—the people and passion driving it forward—but it can be a force multiplier. For instance, AI can streamline routine tasks like donor database management and volunteer scheduling, freeing up staff to focus on mission-driven work. It also supports more advanced capabilities such as predictive analytics to identify potential donors and chatbots to enhance supporter engagement.
